The 3rd Lesvos Food Fest will conclude on the sandy beach of Skala Eresou with music and celebrations.
Eresians have always loved entertainment, dance, music, and good food. Like many other Greeks, they traveled or emigrated abroad and, upon returning, brought back new ideas that merged with local traditions, both in gastronomy and festivities. This is how Argentina’s Dulce de Leche became the local “caramela”, made with the region’s exquisite sheep’s milk, and how the quadrilles of Western Europe were embraced in social gatherings as early as the interwar period.
